How to Help

The services and support that UCP of Southeastern Wisconsin provides to individuals and families affected by disabilities in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Kenosha, Washington and Waukesha counties are critical to the quality of life for hundreds of individuals and families. Without those services, many of our consumers would be unable to work, and in some cases, living in institutions, instead of living, working, playing, and participating fully in all our communities have to offer.

There are many ways you can help create opportunities:

Volunteer:

  • Participate in our community events

  • Begin a friendship with a respite family

  • Plan a UCP benefit at your organization

  • Provide entertainment or teach a seminar

  • Call us with your ideas

Donate:

  • Sponsor respite care for a family for one year ($1,000 donation).

  • Make a donation or monthly pledge of any amount.

  • Ask your employer to match your donation

  • Recruit a team for Joe’s Run, sponsor a UCP Golf Foursome, or attend Taste of Milwaukee.

  • Provide supplies or services for our events or our facilities.

  • Include UCP-SEW in your will, trust or insurance planning

  • Specify UCP through Donor Choice election in your employer’s United Way campaign

  • Host a private fundraiser to benefit UCP of Southeastern Wisconsin

Partner:

  • Host a disability awareness presentation

  • Meet with UCP-SEW to evaluate employment options at your work place

  • Learn and promote the benefits of hiring an individual with a disability

  • Join our Business Advisory Council (BAC)

  • Provide in-kind services through your business

  • Select UCP-SEW in workplace giving, or match employee donations
